Endoscopy:

The capsule endoscopy (CE) system has provided gastroenterologists with the ability to examine the small intestine as never before. It was approved by FDA and it is currently available in 33 countries worldwide.

Capsule Endoscopy is a naturally ingested device for use in the gastrointestinal tract. The patient ingests the capsule with a glass of water. Then, information is transmitted via an array of sensors secured to the abdomen, to the DataRecorder affixed to a belt worn around the patient's waist. The connectors used are CMM series micro-connectors from NICOMATIC, chosen for their climatic & mechnical endurance. The 8-hour examination can be conducted while a patient continues normal daily activities.
