Departing from Les Sables-d’Olonne and heading to Guadeloupe, this year’s unique course held a special meaning for Benoît as he set sail for the first time since the birth of his son, cheered on by the Nicomatic team present for the occasion.
A High-Potential Technological Platform
The Nicomatic – Petit Bateau is designed for maximum performance: lightweight, optimized materials, and an architecture focused on speed and stability. This technological platform proved its full potential early in the Atlantic, allowing our skipper to achieve remarkable speeds, including:
- 352.59 nautical miles covered in 24 hours
- 700 nautical miles in 48 hours, two consecutive personal records
These performances validate the project’s initial ambition: to develop a prototype capable of “flying” over the water and pushing the current limits of the Mini class.
A Podium Finish & A Strong Demonstration of Resilience
After 13 days, 21 hours, 21 minutes, and 52 seconds, Benoît crossed the finish line in Saint-François in 2nd place for the 2025 edition.
This result reflects:
- his ability to maintain performance under pressure,
- the effectiveness of his navigation strategy,
- and the robustness of the technological project driven by Nicomatic and its partners.
